Warmouth Pickguard: Not a fit?

Hi guys.

I was cruisin' around the web lookin' for a "69 Style" Thinline pickguard, and Warmouth has a disclaimer (?) saying that their version is not designed to fit a Fender body, but only their own bodies. Well, thats a deal breaker for me.

Do they just have to say that to cover their butts or something, or do those pickguards really not fit?

Anyone familiar with this, please comment. Also, an alternative source would be welcome, especially if they'll produce it without me having to mail them one for a template.

Thanks.

Check out Jeannie's or Pickguardian.

The main reason the Warmoth pickguard doesn't fit is because the T-style body Warmoth does is quite different that the Fender design. Even though Warmoth does a great Tele neck with a very credible licensed headstock (the heel will need reshaping), the T style body is IMO not actually a Tele body.

Thanks BB, I was going to buy a 69 thinline guard too, I thought their disclaimer was saying the screws won't fit, but I guess not.

Its too bad the bodies are so different. The illustration of the pickguard in the Warmouth catalogue seems to be identical. Guess I dodged that bullet...

Hey there!

Try Acme Guitar Works, they advertise a 69 Thinline pickguard. I have purchased from them before and have been quite happy. Good Luck!
