All Parts Necks

does any one know if the allparts tele necks are any good compared to warmoth or musikraft. my 1994 custom shops neck broke in a flight accident and i want to replace it. some say the allparts necks compare to the japanese fenders. which i think are very nice LOOKING but i have owned a few *** teles and they dont compare to my custom shop closet classic.

Yes, they are very good. The difference in my experience has been that the Warmoth and Musikraft don't need fret work. The AllParts need some leveling, at least the ones I've used. In theory it's possible any new neck could need fretwork.

I have one of the fat ones, and it's great. A pro setup is key. If you are willing to pay a little more, Warmoth makes a real nice neck with lots of options, as does USA CUstom Guitars. I've heard USACG's are the best, as they will make one EXACTLY to your specifications, but have yet to try one. Good luck.

thanx

ok thanx guys i would always have a pro setup when changing a neck. so if the only difference is that ill probably get one. i dont care to much for fancy woods a tele can only be a tele nomatter how nice its neck looks. my question really is the tone and sustain good if these are made in japan. my freind compared his allparts neck to a *** made fender and the one i owned i didnt really like. but it was an early 80s strat

cheers

I'm quite pleased with my new Musikraft compound contour neck. I've already got three Warmoths, and I'd put Musikraft in the "A" level parts category. One often gets what one pays for....

I haven't seen a bad neck from Allparts yet. I really like the FAT one on my relic esquire.

I just received my second USACG neck. It's a 7.25-9.5" radius and is incredible. Tommy and the guys do first class work. I also have an Allparts TMNF which was made in Japan. Nice but several notches below the USACG necks. My advice, go with USACG, you won't be sorry.

FWIW, AP necks are superbly crafted by Fender Japan. I like the full 1" thick fatties - my Strat uses an SRO-FAT and my Tele a TMO-FAT.

Has anyone tried the newer AllParts model TMSF-S with 7.5-9 compound radius and stainless frets? Sounds like an interesting configuration.
