name changed

I am no longer mgdesigns - seems there was a commercial conflict - now I am Engraver-60 - I do, and I am. sort of. If anyone wishes to contact me, please feel free to PM.

Why? Are you not a fan of the big HD? ;-)

Or do you mean your personal name?

I had a link to my business website (which was the same as my user name - almost), and apparently the admin thinks I actually have a viable business I wish. Any works I have done for members here has been at no charge, gratis. But.....

Hopefully I can still post items I make - maybe even a guitar, if I ever get a decent space to setup my shop equipment, and finish the 14 necks, and 5 bodies I have started, and the hundreds of other projects on back burners.

I think this was the first forum I ever joined, so I didn't give it a lot of thought.....Since forum names are like personalized license plates I might do something differently.... or not....I just wondered.

I have always used the same name for all forums, and this has been my DBA (AKA) before the internet was invented by Spotted Owl Gore. Easiest for me to remember, and I'll probably forget how to get onboard now that is changed. Old dogs don't learn new tricks easily. Mark, Mark.:-)

I'm surprised it was an issue. Half the members here have "guitar" in their forum names and many of them sell their instruments if you read between the lines of the posts. I'd guess it was the link more than the name based on my own experience of mentioning my former website once in a comment a few years ago. Alas, rules are rules, and for 200 bucks a year you can promote your business all you want here, which is a good deal for some of the busier individuals.

Marty: Maybe a couple hundred bucks is a good deal for some people, but not right now for me. Underpaid and overworked. Maybe after we sell this house and I have more room, and more room in the budget I can justify the expenditure. But so far, engraving of accessories has not panned out. The jewelry business is still my main clientele.

Oh...I'm just saying that 200 is pretty cheap for the exposure one would get here...not that you should do it.
