Anybody has drawings for Harmony/Silvertone Jupiter?

Hello there,

I failed to meet a deadline last year due to my lack of spraying experience. While I was talking to my customer, my wife had this gorgeous idea to offer him a second one free of charge which he took, of course, within a second.

So I am thinking of a Harmony Jupiter or similar type of guitar with some ebony top.

Does anyone have a template for one of these cuties?

Cheers!

Metecem

I think I'll go the usual "find a good front picture and scale it" way...

It's not going to be an ebony top though... The ebony I have somehow warped badly.. I need to figure out how to get them flat again...

Have you tried the "Big Print" program? LINK. All you need with it is a decent inkjet printer. I have used it several times with good results

This has worked for me before: Take a decent front picture with high resolution. Crop it to the outline of the guitar. Put it into a PowerPoint. Use the PowerPoint function to size the picture. If you cropped it to the exact outline then you can scale it up to where you need it i.e. 19 inches by x inches. Then print it into PDF. The use www.pdflib.com or http://www.lucubration.com/pdf-tile-printer
which allows you to tile into individual pages for printing.

Ich hoffe das hilft.

Ich glaube ich schaffe das schon :) danke!

Anyways, I'll first deal with the neck of my current build. Ain't gonna sweat the second one this time. I can't afford another delay.

The guy will come in April to Istanbul to pick up the guitar. So the second will wait a little.

Funny life. A guy from Istanbul making a guitar in Ghana for another guy in Berlin who will pick it up in Istanbul.

Anybody wanna see the progress on the other (main) guitar? It's not a Tele though...

I have a '61 Silvertone 1420 I could trace for you if you like.

Same body shape as the Jupiter I think.

Oh yes!

That is exactly what I am looking for!

It would be so lovely if you could trace that for me.

Eastwood makes a "Jupiter". Not exactly the same, but it may be of some help.

Is that a short scale? Could you also measure the scale and post with copy of body?

Thank you

I'll go trace it right now. Probably won't be able to scan it in till Monday though. (Don't have a scanner at home, but I have a big one at work) The scale length is 24". Same as on my Harmony H53 Rocket. Great guitars.

A very kind person has given me a Silvertone Model 1420 project. I'm uploading photos to this album

As it is being restored and in pieces, I'd be happy to take photos and measurements. I lack the skills for doing blueprints, though.
