Tele bridge insert
Greeting All !
I am looking to work over an old tele that has a humbucker in the bridge. Does anyone know if they make an insert or plate to fill in around the opening of the humbucker so I can mount a straight S.D. Lil' 59 pickup (from a Strat)in there...(it was a freebie, so I thought I would try it) Thanks Much! |

You could always get a different bridge... here is a straight one.

On a few of the last challenge entries, I just superglued a strat pickup to a piece of scrap pickguard material and it worked well. I think I had to grind down the ends by the holes a little to fit in the tele bridge. I think a tele bridge would cover most if not all of a humbucker route.

you could try one of these (this is for a Tele bridge pup, but they make them to fit regular Strat single coils too):
