the minicaster build

this is my second build.i call it the minicaster

20 1/8" scale
popular body
maple neck
popular fret board
1hum coiltaped 2 single 5 way switch
oak binding and oak pickup rings and controll plate
grover style tuners
and a topload bridge

You seem to be doing a fine job . I have a couple of questions, why poplar for the fretboard? The old Stellas and some Harmonys used them and they were quite soft. Also, that seems like a full load of pickups for such a short scale, are you a fan of the Rickenbacker 325s that also used three pups with a short scale? They were quite unique in that respect. I'd be curious to know what inspired such features. I wish you luck and will be eagerly watching

well i got the idea when i played a small acoustic.
and the reason for popular it has great figure. even though its soft
i am using car clear over it all witch will help. i hope
for the pups. not sure why i used three prob because i got plenty of parts. thanks dave
today got every thing smothed out and the neck radius done
and needed a coping saw to deepen the fret slots and i didn't have one
so i made one at 1:00am lol
got it all cleared this eavening
