How to make a neck.

Bought a 1" x 4" x 6' piece of maple, so it's actually 3/4" x 3 1/2". I think this looks about the same size as a Mighty Mite neck I have. It's the same size as the back piece, not including the fretboard.

Are there any very easy to follow, well laid out neck build threads here?

Check out the challenge threads for the past few years, also Colt W. Knight has a good thread on making a 2-piece neck in the Home Depot forum.

Most are easy to follow (as in understand what the builder is showing or doing), and most are well laid out. If you're looking for easy to do, that will depend on your skill and woodworking experience level, tools and time at your disposal, and your attention to detail. I don't think there is a "Neck Building for Dummies".
