Neck pocket problem

So I cut out the neck pocket and left a little wood on the cutout side figured this would give a little more wood to support the neck, if you get the idea I don't know what I am doing you are right I just make it up as I go along. So now I got this skinny mini piece on one side that looks way to thin for the binding channel, not thinking ahead about this part.
So any ideas how to end the binding, I guess I could cut it off or feather out the binding at this part and hope it does not look to bad.
Any thoughts for a Nubie maker.
Cheers Ron.

You could modify the template in that area, put it back on and rout the side of the pocket to a more typical width (matching the neck). Then just cut the binding channel like normal.

Well you are probably right, but if I am going to cut it off I might as well route it and see what happens if it does not work I can cut it off. Thanks all for your insights.
Cheers Ron
