Truss rod fillet from scrap neck wood?
Hey folks,
Just a quick question: I'm working on my first build (slowly...) in Australia, where maple's not as readily available as it seems to be for others. I'm building a neck from a great QS Tas Oak plank and I have enough on either side of the neck itself to cut a fillet for the truss rod. Would that work, or does it need to be something else in particular (re. the cut/hardness of wood)? Cheers! |

Thanks for the quick reply! I figured it would, it's just that no-one here seems to do it, even on fillets under fretboards (I understand the aesthetic reasoning otherwise)
Thanks a lot! I'll carry on as before. |
