Wiring a Single P-Rail, Triple Shot, Stacked Pot
Hi folks,
I hope you can help. I also posted this question over at the Tele Technical forum but thought this forum might be a good bet for this question too. I am setting up a guitar with one SD Hot P-Rail pickup in the bridge position. It will be housed in a Triple-Shot ring (which has all the P-Rail switching options "self contained"). The Triple shot has Black, White, and Bare wire leads. I want to wire it to a stacked pot (500k/500k), with outer ring volume, inner ring tone. I can't find an appropriate wiring diagram on the SD site and haven't had much luck on Google either. Does anyone have advice on finding a clear wiring diagram? What value cap should I use? Leaning towards .047 since the 500k pots may be a bit bright when the P-Rail is split to P90 or rail mode. Thanks in advance, Rex |

You would use the same wiring shown on the S-D site for two humbuckers with the triple shot. (http://www.seymourduncan.com/support...c=2h_2ts_1v_1t). Just ignore the pickup selector switch and the second humbucker. The white pickup lead goes directly to the ungrounded lug on the volume pot.
Visualize your concentric pot as two separate pots and follow the diagram to connect. You might try a .033 uF cap. I use those a lot on both single coils and humbuckers. If any of this isn't clear, let me know.
