Sneak peek at pinecaster build in progress

Here's a Red Dirt pine body that I've finished in teak oil, shellac, and ReRanch tinted clear lacquer. I also topcoated with satin clear.

I love the grain pattern and the knots. The lacquer needs at least another 3 weeks of dry time before I can wet sand.

Thanks Kinghat! This is my first time finishing a pine body, and I love everything about it except how soft it is. It dents so easily.

Yes...a wipe on finish. I may cause a few heart attacks when I mention that it's Rit scarlet dye! I know that it will eventually fade...as they all will!
