Well, Here we go!
First up, I had to remodel the shop/room
I'm kinda proud of it And finally, the proof pic Kinda tame..........for me Curly maple, for the neck (from Pennsylvania) Spalted maple for the top (from North Carolina) Indian rosewood for the fretboard (from..............who knows A simple lineup, for hopefully a simple build. I've been waiting a lot of years to build this guitar (and almost didn't this time, for fear I'd fudge it up Dave

Thanks, bought it on my road trip, in Robbinsville, NC. Nice little town in a lot of ways, but unless you've been there before (I had), and had a compelling reason to go (I did), it's not somewhere you'd go, because it's not on the way to anywhere (and they like it that way

That looks like a lot of timber for just one guitar Dave. I'd take it off your hands if you have too much.

Wow, nice shop. It's so--neat and organized. I never thought of that. What's it like? How do you manage to waste long minutes, if not hours, looking for tools and stuff you've put down and buried under tons of subsequent junk and then can't find again?
Interesting concept, I'll have to ponder on that a while. But seriously, Dave, you're a mainstay here, always interesting to see what you're up to. BTW, the bloodwood I'm using in my challenge build came from Robbinsville, maybe the same lumber co--? My son gave it to me as a gift two Christmasses ago, its time to use it in a worthy project. |
