Seriously the amount of craftsmanship, detail, work, and skill that must go into those is phenomenal! Not to mention I am a huge Edward Gorey fan. How did you get into doing that kind of work? Is it a hobby or your occupation?

Whoa Jack! Great memories of waking up on Saturday mornings in East Texas, the windows open and one of these putt putt putting next door, the faint smell of kerosene in the air, and the smell of Mom's biscuits and bacon coming up the stairs . Great memories

They're known variously as Sevens, or Clubmans and are copies or knock-offs of the original Lotus Seven. They're available in kit form and feature high power to weight ratio. The most fun you can have on 4 wheels.

I used the circuit called "little gem" to make the etched boards. The op amp, resisters and caps all come from Radio Shack. I repurpose speakers from old junk is cool. And usually use chicken wire as the "grill". I will find a picture of one of the "professional" looking ones I have made.

PM me your address and I will drop a board in the mail for you, or anyone else who wants to make one.

How about these?

When a guitar and a drum snuggle up on my bench these can sometimes happen. The one on the right started as a very old and abused but flamey/ birdseye/ carved tenor banjo neck on Flea Bay for about $15. Someone had tried to route the fretboard for binding with a hand router and it got away from them. The head profile was very abused and chipped. But with a few months of work it re-emerged from the shop with a new pot vaneered in bloodwood to match its new head cap and heel cap. Bloodwood it beautiful. I love to take thing that people don't want and refurbrish or repurpose them.
