My TeleGib Build. Check it out!

I started designing and building this guitar more then two years ago but the build got put on hold to build a few T-style guitars. The idea was to do a Fender/Gibson hybrid, influenced by the Telecaster and the SG. As you can see it turned out more Gibsonish. Let me know your thoughts, I need some feedback...

Specifications:

1-piece Lingue("Chilean Mahogany")neck w. Bolivian Rosewood
2-piece Lingue body
24 3/4" scale lenght / 22 medium jumbo frets
Wilkinson Hardware
GFS pickups
Poly Urethane finish

Very unique without being overboard! I like it very much and could see myself playing it on stage.

Wasn't what I expected when I saw Telegib, but I like it.
Bet it Rocks.

I like it a lot. I like the satin finish - they always feel so much better to play. Classic looks but still very original!

Thank you, I know it's not really a Telegib and usually I just call it "DePaul Proto-1".

Classic looks but still original; that was one of the most important aspects during the design process. Thank you for your comment!

Looks like a real 60s guitar - an Epi Wilshire look. The "German curve" round the edge of the body looks great. How did you carve it?

Thank you, a 60s guitar for sure. I did the carving with a curved formon and hammer, then I sanded with 80 grit paper up to 220.

I agree with Bri-Sonic about the Wilshire look, it's also looks like a 335 style as well, I dig the creativity.

I agree with collectiveoasis about the 335 vibe - what with those 'mickey mouse' ears and the headstock shape, and the carve top!
I think it's crying out for a big brother semi acoustic - deeper body and f holes.
Good job!

Wilshire for sure, and maybe a little influence by Mosrite too!

Great looking axe, any plans to build more?

Thanks Chillman! I can't say that I was influenced by Mosrite during the design and build process but it did come out with a certain Mosrite vibe.
I'm planning on building more...once you start, you can't stop.
I've been working on a new model and now I have the body design finished along with some specifications, hopefully I can get started in a few months.
