audio and linear pots question

hey guys

i just got my package from guitar parts resource today that had all my pots and things for my rickenbacker 4001 project i have going.

very happy with everything but i screwed up the order.

1x 500k audio
1x 500k linear
1x 250k audio
1x 250k linear

instead of

2x 500k linear
2x 250k audio

will it sound off or not work if i use what i got? or should i see if they will just do a swap. i just dont really want to wait for the swap process .

cheers

Jordan

If the log pots are used for volume and the linear for tone, you should be fine. Of course, it won't be EXACTLY the same, but it will still work. If not, things may sound a little odd as you roll off.

You might put a 500k resistor parallel the lugs on your 500k audio pot - you'll get the 250k pot.
Then you'll have just a 250k linear pot that 'won't fit'. But I guess you'll be just fine with that ...
