My buddy's Series 10 Beatle bass copy (needs a new truss rod cover and pickguard) and his Hofner Icon, getting some fret buzz fixed.

I thought I'd take advantage of the nice weather and make a body or two.
This is a one piece pine Stratele body.

This is a 2 piece willow routed for a Peavey Predator neck and Peavey Ferrite pickups. I'm going for the La Cab look.

Thanks fletch!

I've had it sitting there for 2 years and I now thinking why did I wait so long???
I think it had something to do though with how the pieces were so rough cut that you couldn't see any figure until it was fine sanded.

I did a test piece to see how the finished look would turn out, this is what it looks like with a quick sand and sanding sealer!

This Tele is actually for a friend, but I'm starting to think I should have found him another top for his guitar?

Thanks, I need a body for one of maple necks I made last summer. That pine one should be the ticket.

Finishing this one up. This is a very addictive hobby Number 4 for me. This one is a maple neck with maple fretboard. The body is all ash with 1/4" bottom and top caps of ash also. I put a set of Custom Shop 51 Nocaster pickups in it. Will be interesting to see what it sounds like. The body was stained with minwax stain, light grain filling with Timbermate and 20 coats of Minwax wipeon poly. I am pleased with the results.

This is the remains of the plank of wood that produced the original Arlo West Barncaster.
It's been sitting here since I made the orginal and now it is time for Barncaster II. Like the original, it has the official "ye olde square nails" and funky smell.
I elected not to use it when I made the first one, because I found it less than elegant. Well since seeing some other rustic guitars come and go here, I decided it should see the light of day so I glued it up yesterday. This week we'll see what materializes from it.

Here is the orginal thread...a good read.

The swing arm belt sander that I posted a render of ^ is getting close to completion. Still a few bugs to work out but it tracks well and runs pretty smoothly. Here's a test run with it powered by a cordless drill.

Looks great...is it a kit? I'm trying to decide if I want to buy a Carl's Amps Thunder God chassis myself.

Sorry guys. I didn't take the camera. But my Carved redwood and Rosewood A style mandolin went in the spray room today. I finished an ovation guitar that the bridge lifted on... taking a good portion of the top half way to the sound hole with it! And removed the fingerboard and top on a Kalamazoo archtop that I am restoring.

No, it's something I came up with myself. Combined a few circuits and it actually worked . It's similiar to a 65 Amps London with a few tweaks.
