Squier Tele Custom pickguard challenge

hi everybody!

first of all apologies if this is the wrong forum but I'm new here. Hope someone can help me with this:
i bought a squier tele custom II (with duncan designed p90 pickups) a few years ago. as the name suggests, they come in two versions (the other has two humbucker pickups). now i'd like to replace the bridge pickup with a humbucker, so obv i need a new pickguard to fit it in.
so my question is (perhaps) rather silly: can i mount a squier tele custom pickguard on a squier tele custom ii guitar without any additional drilling, chain-sawing, chiselling etc?
cheers everyone!

Are you changing both pickups to humbuckers, or are you making it p90 neck + HB bridge? It seems to me like if you took the HB/HB pickguard and put it on your p90/HB guitar that you'd then have a problem with the neck pickup cutout in the guard.

It may be best to just start with a new PG from scratch. Then you can make anything with it.
