Newly finished

Hey guys thought I'd share this build I did for someone, just finished it today.

The guys a big Muse fan, and so this is based off one of Matt Bellamy's guitars, a mason delorian, didn't want to copy it exactly, but its pretty close to the general idea, with a few changes here and there.

2 Piece alder body
4mm aluminium top roughed up
Silver cracked paint finish on the back.
Maple neck, rosewood f/b, aluminium headstock and heel plates
Aluminium backplates
1x P90, 1x Hum, 3 way selector, 3 way toggle killswitch, 1V, 1T.
Routed for fuzz factory and phase 90 boards to go in the back, yet to source those and put them in.

Thats amazing, more so because I was wanting to build something very, very similar.

Like a Firebird Telecaster or Telebird or firecaster..

..it very much has that vibe, and I love it.

The sounds pretty damn good. The P90 is quite warm and mellow compared to the bucker, so it can get a nice range of tones. It seems to be quite clear and crisp, and has quite a different acoustic sound, which I can only really guess attributes to the Aly top.

If you feed slowly and run at a high rpm, with good quality TCT bits, you can rout it just like normal wood which I found really interesting, so Im thinking about trying a few more things with aly now, maybe even a whole neck
