Original Pickguard Material - UK

Hi, I'm looking for the correct, original pickguard material for a tele, and I'm hoping one of you knowledgable people can help me.

I know they were originally made out of Bakelite/Garolite/Phenolic resin, but have been unable to find a supplier in the UK. I did place an order with Mcmaster-Carr, only for them to email 3 weeks later, to say they only ship to "selected" customers overseas! Not very good customer service I thought!

So does anyone know of a supplier in the UK?

Cheers,
Stu

I'll try them and see what they say, I've found a few companies that supply phenolic resin, but in brown, which is a shame.

'59 Standard, thanks for the replies, I've contacted the people you have found, and will see if they can supply in black, I'll let you know if they can.

Has anyone actually bought some from somewhere in the UK?

Cheers

Stu

ricplayer, thanks for the link, but have you seen the price? It would seem that Mcmaster-Carr will ship to some people then! I've got the templates to make my own pickguards, so just need the material. One of the suppliers listed, do Bakelite, but it is quite expensive, might have to keep looking, any other suggestions are welcome.
