Just did it Neck pocket angled!
All right. I finally got it done. turned out pretty good. the hardest part was getting the template secured. Now I see why some of the other people build frames around the guitar to create a ramp for the router.
I first tried propping coins under the template but decided I could create the angle by shimming the template at its rear. I hope the pictures show that. They aren't the best. I ended up with about a 1.6 degree angle. Maybe a little too much but the floyd still has plenty of adjustment. It is sitting about 1/8 inch of the body. The strings are about 1/16 at the 12th fret. so there is plenty of adjustment either way. Thanks again for all the advice. JUST DID IT JD |

More importantly where did you find the locking nut?
Actually that is a simple and effective solution for an angled neck pocket. A friend wants me to make him a Tele with a Bigsby and to keep the action low I will likely do something like this. |
