Oversized Tuning Holes
Just ordered a Mighty Mite neck. Not expecting much, I was pleasantly surprised. Thought it would meet my needs, until I realized the 3/8 drilled tuner holes were really 10.5 mm. That doesn't help me with my 10mm tuners. He's offered to take it back. I was expected to do some fitting on the tuning holes, but not filling!!!
So what do you think? I think the tuners will fit sloppy, but is this standard procedure on this? I've only worked on a couple of other guitars, but the other tuners have been a snug fit. So, send it back, let the tuners fall as they may, do some sort of shimming around the body of the tuners, or fill and drill? Thanks in advance! CGurn |

Send it back... and tell the idiots to publish ACCURATE drawings and dimensions.
I deal with this all day... because "marketing" has been handed over to some "person" wearing artificially aged jeans... that doesn't know an inch from a foot. |

Did you specify what size tuner holes you needed? If so send it back, if not, then it's your problem. Just get some adaptors from GFS. It happens all the time, no biggy.
