telecaster template/pdf

Hi,

I want to make my own templates for a tele build im starting soon, does anyone have a full scale pdf of the front and back of a tele? is it best to use the front template for the neck rout, and the back template for the actual shape?

Unless you want a belly contour, there's really nothing to the back that isn't carried from the front. It's a plank. The string holes from the front - the neck screw holes from the front - that's it.

for a belly cut - check the custom/deluxe pdf on this page and go to page 6 of the pdf:

thats true, i suppose i could make a full template for the front and just flip it over to get the screw hole locations correct for the back. might do a belly contour, not sure yet, thanks for the link

I do this from the fender page pdfs http://www.fender.com/support/wiring...arts_lists.php open in corelldraw, selected the lines to cut etc and send to cut in corel format, laser cut take the center of the line as the center of the cut, you always will have a gap depending of the beam focus, speed and diameter, I think that is better to cut with cnc router, as it have in consideration the bit radious.
