Plotting a custom build

I'm trying to piece together something different here and need to get some advice or just confirmation on a few things with the body. The basic idea of what I'm looking for is a solid body telecaster, but I want to use a '69 thinline style pickguard. I want a full size humbucker in the bridge, so I'll need to use the wider bridge (most likely from the john5 or the Mighty Mite) and I want to use a Gibson mini humbucker in the neck position. My question about this setup is will the mini humbucker fit on that pickguard without the routes showing at the upper edge?

At this point I'm looking around for someone to build and finish the body, and I'm trying to find a shop that can mill the pickguard out of aluminum or steel and anodize it for me.

To give you an idea on what the end goal is, I'm a huge David Grissom fan, but I love telecasters. I'm on the prowl for a DGT bridge pickup, and I love the tone of the mini humbucker in the neck position. The controls will include the basic volume and tone, but I plan to use a gibson style 3 way switch that will swap between the bridge pickup and the output from a blend control that will combine the signal from both pickups in any ratio I wish (I prefer this to two volume controls).

If any of you guys can answer the question about the neck humbucker, or even give me some contacts for builders that can possibly deliver on this, I'd appreciate it.

EDIT: BAH...search and you shall receive...

I should have known that most likely someone had already tried something like this, and they'd have to be on this forum!! I'd still like advice or contacts for builders if anyone can help in that area.

Still no ideas? I'll accept PMs if there are any builders that would like to work with me.

I am a big fan of DGT pickups and minihumbuckers and think your idea is fantastic. I'd contact Tommy at USA Custom Guitars and he'll be able to hook you up with the body. However, I'm not sure about the pickguard.
