lefty tele build

I did my first tele build last winter.I was really surprised how nice it turned out.Got some real good advise from you people here.I'm going to do it again this winter, got my son into it also. He's doing a fretlees bass ,I'll try another tele. Guitarpartsonline.com offers a lefty tele kit for $140 Has anyone bought one of there kits? I'd like to here if you have.on my first build I bought everything separately,us leftys don't always have a wide variety to choice from when it comes to guitars.Let me know if they have a good kit or if anyone knows of another source that I might try Acal

Fear not , fellow lefty . I have never built a kit . USACG , Warmoth , etc. all offer parts , bodies , necks . Lefty pots are available as well if your kit does not have them . Since you are in Florida , Jerry's guitars is in your local . Come visit at Lefty Frets if you care to . Feel free to PM me about any questions that you may have related to us lefties . I will help if I can .

I've built 5 lefty Tele style guitars from scratch (from the Ron Kern template). I made all the bodies and used outsourced necks from ebay. Making leftys is simply a matter of routing the neck pocket, pickup cavities, drilling string thru holes, etc on the opposite side. Click on my name and check out my build threads. I'm in Daytona. You can also PM me.

I've made rightys and leftys. There is no significant challenge to making leftys. I prefer and I enjoy making leftys b/c I am a lefty player. I hate making a really fine axe that I can't play!

Like the other posters I've built 13 guitars (lefty) over the years but never from a kit. I'm building a gorgeous spalted maple tele right now.
My take on the cheap kits is that many who build them end up upgrading this and that to the point of having to ask themselves why they didn't just source better parts from the get go. If you do go the kit way please let us know your thoughts.

I've bought several parts from guitarpartsonline over the past few years but never a kit. I can't speak for the kits, but the parts have always been of decent quality. Shipping has always been speedy as well.
