First build, almost complete

Hey everyone. Just wanted to show some pics from my first build. Any advice or critisism is very much appreciated. This is a poplar build. I was going to take more pictures during the process, but i started and hit a good flow and spaced it off. One of my main concerns right now is down on the lower horn of the guitar, i had a little bit of tear out. Nothing major, but i cant seem to get it sanded out. I dont have a spindle sander so i'm doing the hard to reach spots by hand and the pits just dont seem to want to come out. Any suggestions? There are a few mistakes here and there, but i actually think i like the mistakes, gives the guitar character. Except for the gluing together of the planks, this only took me in the area of 3 hours to do.

Nice job. I would probably use some filler on the pits, it would take too much off to sand them out. I don't think pits can be steamed out like dents, but maybe. If you are going to use an opaque finish, or even a burst with an opaque edge, then the filler will not show.

well i have done a bit more work, got the body stained the other day and then cleared. the pics where it has been cleared are taken inside in a basement because it is rainy out today and couldn't take it outside. I only have 1 layer of the wipe on poly on it so far, hopefully will get it steel wool'ed down and a few more coats put on this weekend.
