who has best price on allparts necks?

I've been considering getting some allparts necks but the guy I normally get my necks from is no longer dealing in them. Just wondering who has the best price and service.

Thanks,
Kyle

I've used several ebay based "shops" for allparts necks when I only wanted 1 at a time.
They all seem to have them at Justa' bout' the same price. Its straight retail.
Its more about not buying local and avoiding sales tax by dealing out of state.
If you find a local tech who is a dealer he might give you a "deal" on one if it was a part of a "package". That sorta thing.

Try http://www.aampselectricguitarstore.com/index.html. Best prices I've found, and they give good service.

Those are reasonable numbers.
Just check to make sure the exact item is in stock. Then the turn over will be quick.

I've bought some from this fellow.

He has been easy to work with.

Although he stocks nothing. If you are looking for immediate delivery, this is not the place. He has been very upfront about this with me and has been good about keeping me apprised about shipping times.

Shipping was just as reasonable, and out of the 5 or 6 necks I've bought from him, there was a delay on only one, and it was only a week.

I've been looking at AllParts necks too for my own project. Prices tend to depend on what sort of neck you're after, but for the poular ones like the all maple, nitro finished TMNF-V, TMNF-C and TMNF-FAT, this guy on Ebay seems to have the lowest price, and reasonable shipping too I think. Well, the shipping is better for me anyway, I'm in New Zealand. $40.00 as opposed to an estimated $109.00 from the folks that Bucko linked to!

TMNF-V
http://cgi.ebay.com/Fender-Tele-Tele...item5d273aec8b

TMNF-C
http://cgi.ebay.com/Fender-Tele-Tele...item5d273aed23

TMNF-FAT
http://cgi.ebay.com/Fender-Tele-Tele...item5884d08822

Unfortunately he's a bit vague on the specs of each neck, so you have to cross reference the AllParts website to get the exact specs. Be sure to look at both pages.
http://www.allparts.com/Telecaster-N...show=20&page=1

Me, I'm probably going to go with the TMNF-FAT. I think the C shape will be too thin, and the V shape doesn't come with a 9.5" radius.

I left him an e-mail last night, I'm hoping to hear from him soon. I have his home number, might give him a call this weekend.

Does he do any type of fret work (level, dress) to them before sending them? or don't the allparts neck need this?

From what I gather, fret dressing on an Allparts neck is more a matter of preference. They're already very good, but some folks like to give them a quick once over to remove the occasional sharp fret end, give them a polish, etc, and that makes them EXCELLENT!

This may depend, model to model. I know only the TMO/TRO/SRO/SMO-FAT models with the narrow tall frets and they've ALL needed more than just the usual going over I have to give a Warmoth neck. God Bless Allparts but the frets need the full monty IMO.

For this reason I recommend Rob DiStefano (Frettech) or certain others doing the same approach which is, he gets a great price, he throws in a fret level, crown and dress at a competitive price and charges only a little more than someone relying on the markup alone for his take on the transaction. You might check with Mellecaster - I think he does this sort of deal as well.
You could get a couple coats of finish as well as the nut and tuners in the transaction and be ready to bolt 'er up.
