Wow! Outstanding detail. I love how you did the cutout on the pickguard. Did you do the binding on the neck too?
Welcome to the TDPRI. I'd say you're off to a good start.

Hey, thanks! I made quite many wooden pickguards before the final one ;-)

And yes - after I started I went all the way with the bindings as well.. Some people say that it's already too much :-) but I think it's quite cool. My friend has a 70's mustang with maple neck and black bindings and I think those look amaizing too.

Very nice, definately country and western. Nice idea with the pickguard framing the lower f-hole. Great binding! Pure porn.

I think the stars in the fretboard would have looked even better if it was rosewood, more contrast with the body. Since you're obviously into pearloid pickguards so why not try to make it it a bit bigger: picture it going all the way to the pot knobs and framing the f-hole completely. Somewhat like 72 Customs.

Metal covers on pickups would do good too. Compliments the Bigsby.

If you remove the noisy stuff inside the piano it makes a great house for a dog.

Thanks for the great tips! I think you can see right through me Varakeef...

I wanted to have metal (or plastic look a likes)covers over the pickups but couldn't because these SD pickups were closed. But maybe I'll try that mod someday with customized covers. If someone knows how to do it, give me a hint!
