You know, I usually like really vein-y, streaked fingerboards, and I've never understood why many Les Paul guys go nuts over super-dark rosewood, but the color on this guitar's fingerboard is simply amazing--it's deep and dark, but it doesn't look black. I'm starting to understand the whole "dark is great" thing. Well done!

Since it has to have an opaque finish, I think I'm going to make it all gold. I have a really great 2003 Gibson R6 that has a BRW board, and I think it would be pretty cool to have a matching 335. Especially now that I know that that's what Les Paul himself originally envisioned. |

Strangely enough (and yet completely unrelated to my post a couple slots above) I have a rare All-Gold Yamano Gibson ES-335. I love it...but I'm selling it as my main semi-hollow is a '62 Epi Riviera. PM for details. I know this isn't the place for that, but perhaps this will bump my previous question!
