TrussRod oops!!

Ok..So I am building a neck for my Tele and I cut the shape and forgot to cut the channel for the trussrod. I marked it out before I cut...but then had a brain-fart and cut the shape. Any suggestions? Do I just try a steady hand with router? Whats the best method to make a straight cut?

Thanks
Keith

I secure my neck blank to the bench using my vise and a stop block and then screw a straight piece of mdf with a couple end stop blocks to the neck blank. I have no problems with this method. I could have built a nice jig, but I'd rather spend my time building guitars and necks rather than jigs.
