Daytona Beach has excellent (warm) weather for spray painting. I shot final coats on this gitfiddle.

My folks spend the winter near Miami and it was 36F yesterday morning.

The body looks great, BTW.

More Nitro

Sunny and warm. The paint went on nice and smooth. Awesome day.

68, Sorry about your weather in Gainesville. The coast and inland are often different. Sometimes we get the rain and you don't. Thanks for commenting. Es la vida.

Showdown at the OK Corral

There's a glue joint staring at me. That's what I get for being too cheap to buy another clamp. It's not as apparent at night.

I think I have sufficient material on this guit to call it done and let her cure. This picture indicates otherwise. Inside the horn looks a little light on paint. If it is I'll do it again. Might be overspray.

Thanks for the compliment, J King.

This guitar is just about finished. I put it together in a hurry so I could jam with my brother. Naturally, it wouldn't fire up (wiring and controls problem). I gifted the spruce top guitar I made to my brother Sunday night. I had brought my Bubinga guitar so we did have a good jam session. My brother loves his humbuckers and distortion. In the middle of one song, he went to switch to his Les Paul. I said, no way, dude!

Moral:
You can lead a rocker to single coils but you can't make him twang.

See the abalone dots I made. I did all the fret work on this neck.

I really like these vintage style tuners. They are cool items.

I let my bone nuts hang over like this so I can dial them in just right with a Dremel.
