New Body and Neck....

...is due in tomorrow from Musikraft. I selected a nice light swamp ash body and upgraded it to a nice grain so it would look good with an translucent finish. The neck is a blackguard style neck but with a rosewood fingerboard. It will live its life as an Esquire.....My question to ya'll is what color shall I go with. This will be my first ever build!! I'd like to stay somewhat period correct for colors. What year did they first offer an Esquire with a Rosewood fingerboard? Post some pics..and help a brother out!! I already have a Blonde, Butterscotch, Paisley and another lighter Blonde..probably want to go with a new color.

Thanks

Did your wood show up yet? Put up some pics.

As for color I'm partial to the vintage butterscotch blonde look, slightly transparent to show off the grain and has that classic vintage look. By the collection you have it seems you are partial to the blondes too. Maybe vintage burst. Great way to show off the grain.

I believe '59 was the first year with a rosewood option on the Esquire.

Here's a pic I found with a nice burst and a rosewood board:
