Thinline build question

Regarding the F-hole that is cut in the top material over the chambers...

Is this strictly for aesthetics, or does it add an acoustic quality ?

having some sort of cut in the top over the chambers does have an acoustic quality. Not sure if this is what you were asking but i thought i'd just mention that the shape of the hole isn't really important, the f-hole shape is just aesthetic, it can be anything really

Yes, I was referring to it as an F-hole in the general sense.
