Blend Control (again)
I'm wiring up my own take on the now classic Brent Mason arrangement. I've decided to go a bit of a different route, but I wanted to get a few other eyes on this to make sure it will work.
I'm using the same pickups as the Mason (Duncan bridge and middle stacks, Gibson mini humbucker in the neck). The controls I'm planning on using are a Gibson 3 way switch for the neck and bridge pickups (easier to grab in a hurry IMO), a master volume, master tone and a blender pot to blend the output from the 3 way switch with the middle pickup. I've decided against coil taps for now, but can always install them later. Any odd issues concerning this wiring layout? I've got a blank control plate waiting to go. The 3 way and master volume will be at the far ends, with the tone and blend spaced equally between the two. Thanks, Chad |

It worked. 3 way switch for neck and bridge, blend pot to mix between the middle and the output from the switch, master volume and tone. Sounds great, and the gibson switch allowed the controls to be spaced further apart for easier access. The switch is also slanted so it's easier to flick while mid strum.
