Putting a Mighty Mite neck on a Neshville Power Tele body
Hi everyone. I've bought a cheap, used Nashville Power Tele body (fully loaded) which I am going to strip back to wood and refinish in some sort of sparkle. I am a novice in all these things but figure for the £200 I paid for the body I can have some cheap fun and maybe end up with a nice Tele at the end of it.
I need to find a suitable neck for the body. I don't want to spend £200+ on one but can get a Mighty Mite licensed part from eBay for £72. My questions - will this neck just fit straight on (I believe it will) and also what is the quality like? I intend to finish the headstock in the same paint as the body. Anyone have dimensions of the neck pocket of the Nashville body so I can check against the neck dims? Cheers!!

Directly measured from my project guitar, it's two and one eighth inches by 3 inches by 5/8ths of an inch. If you need metric I'll get that for you tonight if someone else doesn't.
Any tele neck or fascimile should fit your geetar. Strat(ocaster) necks need the heel flattened. Stay with the tele style and you should be good to go. |

Funny enough I've been looking at these necks for a commision build as I told the customer an Allparts will set him back £150 - £200 so I suggested one of these or an Axesrus honey finished neck.I can't see any problem fitting one of these to a tele body...some sanding may be needed but that comes as part of the course.I emailed the guy on Ebay and he said the radius is 9 1/2" but he wasn't 100% on that.

2 3/16' at the heel with a 9 1/2 inch radius unless specified as a compound radius. Those are standard for Mighty Mite Strat and Tele necks. I've used several.

Thanks all, have gone ahead and bought the neck. Waiting now for the body from the US then I can get busy with my spray paint!
