And more specifically, that little rectangular bent piece with the hole. It fits inside the jack hole, wedged in the wood so the jack cup doesn't fall out.

They are a PITA to install solidly. Stew-Mac makes a tool for it which is very expensive but saves a lot of cursing.

I just use a piece of 3/8 threaded rod with a nut on the end, a wheel lug nut to apply pressure and another nut to tighten it down. The wheel nut fits perfectly in the hole and is self centering. Best of all it was free.
