mineral streaked Pine build . need ideas.

this body is from a piece of pine that was cut and stacked inside over 25 years ago. Looking for ideas like type of finish . pickguard .neck.. etc.

You should read over all the pine threads as there are many different variations of finishes and parts and such.

I would go to either of the extremes. Put a solid finish on it and hide the grain or go transparent and show it off.

Finish thats on the Sienna strats looks pretty sweet. Or go for a real custom finish. I do painting as a hobby and looking at those markings on the body I see a coupla clouds on the bass side and a beach. I dunno, a nice sunset on that body would work for me but that's just me :)

Hey I see cloulds and a sunset in this one too!! or maybe sand dunes or maybe a whale that needs a shave.

I,ve used yellow dye then shelac[wax free] with amber dye then vynil sealer then nitro on the two pines I,ve done. no hardener but if I was doing a solid I would.
