Snow and clear = ok??

I was reading the "Finishing a Blue Guitar" on the stewmac site and saw this

<---- Snow???

It seems OK to shoot clear outside when temperature is below zero

It can be above freezing when there's snow on the ground. I have gone up to our local mountains and it can be T-shirt weather with some residual snow, but it doesn't stay for more than about two days. I'd still think the humidity and such would be far less than optimal.
