Looks cool. Nice work Marty.

Not too sure total
I just stopped in to see what he thought, give him the file with the pattern and carried on with my business in town not thinking he would do it right away.I stopped in on my way home and he was in the process of doing it.There was about half of one side left and that took about 20 min so I am thinking it took a good hour to do it all

Marty, that's neat. All sorts of ideas come to mind.

You could probably burn Ash wood grain on a piece of poplar. Might eliminate the need for grain filler.

I wonder what an outline of the regular old Fender paisley pattern would look like.

Hmmmmm...now who just might have those files hanging around...

Super cool. Isn't technology wonderful? Some colour on that will look brilliant.

Reminds me a little of going to an Indian wedding in Hyderabad once ... the bride's henna "tattoos" are wickedly intricate.

I've been thinking how cool it would be to get one of those lasers. Not sure how much demand there is for it, though.

That does look cool. Did you sand the body to finish grade before lasering? Just wondering about the possibility of sanding through

I had it sanded to 320 but no grain filler. We were unsure how the laser would react to the filler.
It has a few coats of sanding sealer on it and right now kinda looks like tooled leather

Color huh?

Is anything other than pink going through your mind?

Do you have you snow-thrower ready to go?

It is getting to be near that time again!

I guess I missed this thread. Very interested in the laser thing - and curious about where you're going next. The reflections on the latest photo make it look like the laser cuts are not real deep - or that you've filled them in... maybe it's just the photo. Either way, it's looking good.

The laser cuts were probably deeper than the ash grain.Next one will be on a tighter grained wood like maple. We just pretty much did this as an experiment
