Drill bit size for Kluson tuner bushings?

Morning all,

I'm getting stuck into my neck build and have come to drill the tuner holes.

I've done some tests with a 9mm and 10mm bit. Now the bushing that comes with the Kluson tuners is too tight with the 9 and too loose with the ten. Should it be a 9.5mm hole?

For the life of me I cannot find a 9.5mm brad point bit. I know i could just ream out the 9m hole but I'd like it to be right from the start.

Any thoughts?
Cheers
Dave

I bought a 9.5 mm bit from a local industrial supply place for about 8 dollars U.S.

Hmmm....9.5 is .3745...close to our 3/8 bit. I use an 11/32 for the vintage Kluson tuner inserts. 9.5 seem way to big. At least that's what my memory serves me...I think...!! I think 10mm is what the modern tuners use.
