Heads Up! Brian Jones 54 BlackGuard Tele inspected

On Tuesday I will get the chance to inspect an early original 54 BlackGuard that belonged to Brian Jones. I'll have enough time to take it apart and make exact templates too...
I'll post the photos and the full story for you guys of course.
Stay tuned.

Looking forward to it!!! Gil, It's really cool that you share with us that don't have access to a lot of vintage instruments, Thanks! Having a peek inside is fun.

OK.... I did it... managed to fully inspect it, take it apart, measure everything, take photos and make the templates in under 3 hours. I'm very tired and it's very late here so excuse me if I'll look through all the material tomorrow...
I don't want to leave you photoless... so here's a few shots from this late night session with the owner, Mordechai and his son arriving to the shop with the guitar. I could feel the presence of Brian in the room (in my twisted mind of course).
I'll start posting the material and the story (which is on going BTW...) tomorrow.
It was an amazing night and this guitar is a serious piece of a musical machinery signed by T.G. (who else...) 9 - 54

OH! You are really lucky Gil, you probably deserve it. Could you tell us how this guitar came to you? Did Mordechai knocked on your door saying something like "Dude, I want to learn to play the guitar but I only have that beaten Fender. Is it ok to start with or should I buy me a shinier one?"

I would be interested to see these newly generated templates against your current ones for any (if any!) differences in outer profile.

You're a lucky geezer Gil!
