this was done really as a paint test,
with a ten year old stencil and rattle can


painting my first test build, an all oak tele


today i'm on third build, only been building guitars for one month, doing all wood myself, not as tough as i thought it would be

An all oak tele , holy crap , how much does that thing weigh ? I'll bet it is over 10 lbs ? BTW what kind of oak is it ? Is it native Live Oak ?

Most of Jerry's guitars were real heavy so that's okay.

templates, hmm, maybe, what kind do you have in mind

my first neck was made from an old oak antique table that was in my way, really wasnt that hard but i've been doing woodwork for many years

it's only a little over 8 lbs, made from really old table, really straight wood, oak body and neck with maple fretboard, and it dont sound bad, it was my first try at making a tele, testing the tools on hardwood before i got the good stuff
