South's Gonna Do it Again Solo?
Charlie Daniels - South's Gonna Do it Again
I'm having a time trying to figure this out. Does anyone know of it tabbed anywhere? Or know any of the licks involved? I looked on countrytabs.com, but no luck. Thanks a lot for any pointers... |

Update - I've got most of the solo down, the only part confusing me is the pulloff run repeated toward the end of the solo, for about 6 measures. Anyone know what he's doing there? I hear him always touch the low A at the end of the run. It sounds like he starts on C at 5 on the D string, but I can't pick out what he has in between. I've got my own version, but I'm trying to figure out what's there. Thanks again...

Wow. This forum has been dead for a week! Maybe I can push start it. I've been trying to nail this for a few days. I have two ways to do it, I don't know which I prefer yet... First is a hybrid picking thing, G string with the ring finger, D with the middle, and A with the pick. Second is an alternating sweep type thing downstroke on the G string, and sweep up on the D and A while trying to pull off the correct fingering in time. It's a tricky little run. But it's fun!
