One of my favorite songs. I remember my dad singing it in the car in the 50's. One of my earliest musical memories.
I've never heard his version, but here are the chords off an old chart: Since I Fell for You - D Intro: D/Bm7/ Em7/A7/ D/Bm7/ Em7/A7/ D/D7/ G/C7/ Bb7/// A7/// Verse: D/Bm7/ Em7/A7/ D/Bm7/ Em7/A7/ G/Gm/ DBm7Em7A7 (1)D/Bm7/ Em7/A7/ (2)D/G/ D7/// Bridge: G/// C7/// DEm7F#m7D7 G///C7/// D/Bm7/ E7/A7/ It basically a I vi ii V7 I progression. The interesting chords are in the intro and in the bridge, where it goes to the IV chord, G, and then, when you expect it to go to Gm, it goes to C7 instead. |
