I think the CCR library is a good starting point.
Good luck. Dan

I think he meant Credence Clearwater Revival, he might have been reffering to an actual book, made of paper
But i am sure if you google it, you can find what you are looking for. Actually you ccan check here http://www.guitarnoise.com/lessons.php Limited in choices but everything is explained |

Train your ear
The best damn place to learn is your record player. Start by learning to tune to the record (it took me until the age of 18 to figure that one out - gulp). Start with songs from the 50s and work your way through the decades. You'll see alot of the same chord progressions used over and over again. John Sebastian use to do a routine about how all the 50s tunes were either standard blues progressions or C Am F G. He's wasn't far off the mark on that one. Then you can tackle the trickier stuff like skifflechamps, The Beatles, who would dare to go in and out of keys! Creedence is a good place to start too. Do this and you'll save lots of money in the end by figuring out stuff on your own. I had to learn it this way as most of the sheet music back in the
60s was a load of sheet when it came to the chords they put down. |
