Englishman in New York (verse)

Continuing on w/ the 80's pop theme , I thought I'd look at "Englishman in NY". There probably isn't a guitar to be found in the mix , BUT , the keyboard line is kinda cool. Keyboard lines somtimes offer up new voicings for guitarists , leading to new ideas ect. Don't believe me?? Try transcribing "The way it is " by Bruce Hornsby !!! Not a 3rd pos G chord to be found !!! (LOL)
This tune is more mercifull however , we can play this w/ standard chord grips. The neat part is , making your right hand attack mimick the keys. I use a hybrid grip and pluck all the notes simultainiously (sp) ,save for the lowest note in each chord. Pick that note on the "one" of each beat , and the rest of the voicing on the "and" .
The original keyboard part is stacatto and very soft , kinda like "plucked violins" in an orcestra.
I play this w/ standard Em / A / Bm voicings , starting at the 7 th position.

-----7----7----9----9------10----10----10----9------
-----8----8---10---10-----12----12----12----10-----
-----9----9----9----9------11----11----11----9------
--------------------------9-----9------9----------------
--7----7----12--12--------------------------12--------
---------------------------------------------------------

Now, I know the chances of anybody bellowing out "Play Englishman in NY" are pretty slim. But the idea behind this , is to try and mimic another instrument. We all know how much we use Banjo rolls , this just gives us another instrument to draw from.

Seeing as Sting and Andy are being discussed, here's one that combines the threads, your example, and kinda-sorta banjo rolls.
