Gatton style minor pentatonic licks
Danny Gatton used to really own the minor pentatonic repeat style licks. Here's a couple in A
------------------------------------------ -5--------5------------------------------ -5--------5------------------------------ ---7p5-----7p5-------------------------- --------7--------7---repeat-------------- ------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------- -5h6------------5h6------------------------- ------7-6-5----------7-6-5------------------ -------------7---------------7---------------- -------------------------------------------- These licks are perfect for the IV chord in a I IV V typr progression. So if I was playing in A, when I come to the D chord, I'd do one of the above licks. I'll post soundclips tonight. Ward |
