You've got to hit some of that Rock and Roll trio stuff. Burlison, Grady Martin..

Best rockabilly guitar I've ever heard is Gatton on "The Humbler"..

Most new Rockabilly makes me want to choke on my own vomit.

I also do NOT like Brian Setzer.

I do like The Cramps, but they cover a lot of territory. Poison Ivy plays a Gretsch and that chick can play.

I'm assuming you've gone through Gene Vincent (with Cliff Gallup), Duane Eddy (tone and playing, not to mention he produced a Waylon Jennings album), and Eddie Cochran too... Link Wray is similar in some ways, but whatever genre he is (or isn't) - he is a god. I got to see him play a few years back and I wish I coulda took some friends before Link passed away.

As mentioned, Burlison with the RnR Trio is a great recommendation, so to is Carl Perkins, and there are tons more.

I'd suggest digging into old Country big time, then going into some urban and some of the less urban blues... mixing tricks and licks from those two is how it all started in the first place, but there is a TON to "borrow" still out there.

One last thing I'd listen to, is Dwight Yoakam and Pete Anderson. You can hear some of that rock in their billy... and it sounds great.

I hope you aren't talking about Scotty as in Scotty Anderson? If you've only been playing 7 months and mastered Scotty Anderson's licks, perhaps you could show some of us who've been playing 20+ years and still haven't come close.

How about Rev. Horton Heat for modern stuff?
Also take a listen to "Southern Culture on The Skids".
Not really Rockabilly but some close stuff: Jerry Reed.
For more "classic" stuff: Carl Perkins, REAL early Buck Owens (look for "Buck Owens: After the Dance" CD...tasty stuff!).
AND Not really Rockabilly, BUT VERY influential to the style:
Duanne Eddy, Merle Travis and of course mister guitar....Chet Atkins.
