Jimmy Page White Summer
I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find an accurate tab for Jimmy Page/Led Zeppelin - White Summer? I all ready found the one on
harmony-central.com but found it rather mistaken and missing quit a bit. |

I don't have the tab but
here's a tip...maybe if you do a search for Zeppelin's "Black Mountain Side" you'll find something. Then you can use that and adapt as needed. Page ripped himSELF off for a change with this one..."Black Mountain Side" being essentially just a remake of his own "White Summer" which was released on the Yardbirds' "Little Games" lp. By the way "White Summer" itself is almost a note-for-note lift from a John Fahey tune, the name of which I just can't remember, but I'll bet someone here can.

White Summer Tab
Here's a really excellent PowerTab version:
http://www.powertabs.net/pta.php?page=song,4478 If you don't have the PowerTab software you will need to download it from the site, but that is well worth your while. This is the only transcription I have seen that has the odd but correct DADGAD tuning. Here's Black Mountain Side: http://www.powertabs.net/pta.php?page=song,36 A bit different... I think this originally appeared in a special acoustic issue of Guitar magazine from a few years ago. |
