Playing with a buzz (in my head)

It's the same for me too. I try to keep it to about 1 beer/drink an hour when I jam with friends, that way I can have a beer and still be able to play. Also, I'm not plastered at the end of the evening when it's time to drive home.

I used to...
Back in the day--when I wuz young--me and the whole band used to drink a pitcher each before we went on and each take a pitcher up on stage with us. Back then I was on bass and we were playing pop music.
Nowadays I need to be fully sober, but I'm also trying to do tricky licks and righteous riffs. |

Trying to play songs I already know can be a bit more of a challenge, but I find that song writing and improvising comes to me easier when I've had a couple.
