Yeah, Claude is shady in my experience. Don't give him any money.

I Bought his Blues Masters Class Vol #1&2 from Claude. Don't get me wrong, they are probably in the top 10% of all blues DVD's. That being said, They took over 1-month to receive. All email and phone calls to Claude went unanswered until the day before they showed up. And, all support info and tabs are not included with the DVD's. You must download them from Claude's site. And guess what? They are not available yet. Site says they will "be available in a few days." This message has been up for 5-weeks...

Sol is great in the videos, but he needs to sever the ties to Claude...

I seem to recall that you could get the Sol vids from Doug Seven's website. I didn't really look into to much but if you are not so sure about dealing with Claude it might be worth a look. Cheers.

I took a chance on Claude. I had read all the bad stuff on the web.

I got the DVDs in about 2 weeks. The link to the tab was not complete, so I had to figure out the rest of the tab links.

The DVDs were not shot in HD, but not bad. The instruction is very worth while, somewhat more advanced.

I would recommend the DVDs. Since I ordered with a CC, I was prepared to let the CC company deal with Claude, but I didn't have to and I'm glad.

Telemaster 81,

I believe I saw it on his blog at http://sizzlingguitarlicks.blogspot.com/. Down a bit on the right hand side you can select a topic. You'll find Sol Philcox there, click on it and it will take you to an old blog, about a year old or so IIRC. I tried the link to purchase it but it appeared to be Claude's old web page, so I didn't purchase it, higher price than I saw on a more updated page.

I have Doug's vol 4 and that is enough for me right now. I will probably order more from Doug in the future any recommendations?

Ken

I have everything that Doug has made, i consider him a friend as well as a teacher, anything you buy from him is great, however id recommend, playing in circles, the vince Gill lesson, and sizzling guitar licks vol 3 and the Jazz cd if i had to start, but then again there all a little different, the thing i like about Doug is he does not just teach you a lick, his videos will tell you how he came to play what he plays, its truly been a great help to me for playing the modern country style.
however i have others that are great also, the Brent mason one by pg music is great! i have tons and tons of DVDs and downloads here. i keep them filed away in separate areas and i go to them when im looking to do specific things.
however i can go to Doug's stuff anytime and fine something new to work on.
His stuff is priced right and its WELL worth the investment.....
hope that helps, (allot of rambling i know lol)

I purchased the DVD pack about 1yr ago. It took about a month to arrive but that is international shipping and the shipping was free too.
The DVD's are great and from time to time he (Claude) emails specials. I got my set for half price. A few months later he was doing a special with the Sol Chicken Pickin' & Sol Blues sets combined.
